Staying on track while traveling….

Let’s get right into it..shall we?
First off… You need to decide whether or not you’re going to make time for your workouts or not. SET the intention. If you are, STICK TO THAT. MAKE THE TIME. If you’re not, that is okay too!! You, too, deserve a break sometimes. Take this time to chill.
If you decide not to workout on vacation here are a few tips…
Focus on hitting your step goal. Make sure you walk to places when you can, move around, don’t be super sedentary.
Start your day with some protein, figure out how you’'ll fit more protein in to the rest of your day, too!
Make good choice when out to eat, get the high protein meal! Going out to eat isn’t always avoidable when on a trip- try new things and enjoy the things you want!
Prioritize sleep, I know vacations are exciting and there is so much to do and new things to try- but make sure you’re still prioritizing at least 6-7 hours of sleep!
On to exercise when you’re traveling…
The best way and easiest to get this out of the way is to exercise first thing in the morning.. before anyone is awake.
Check the places you’re staying for a hotel gym! I always try to opt for the place with the gym rather than without.
If the hotel doesn’t have a gym, i’ve added some links at the end for small easily transportable equipment!
Lastly… there is no pressure to workout on your vacation, just be mindful! If you choose not to, no shame. This is all personal preference! If you choose to workout, that’s amazing too!
